We may choose to sell some consigned items in our eBay store.
  • You receive 40% of the selling price of the merchandise sold at the end of the 60 day consignment period.
  • After the consignment period, you have the option of picking up any unsold merchandise within 14 days or donating it. All merchandise not picked up within 14 days of the end of the consignment period become the property of The Designer Consignor and may be donated to charity.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for men's, women's, and children's (sizes 2T and up) clothing and accessories.  We do not discriminate based on the age of the garment or the label (or lack of label) as long as it is stylish and in flawless condition.  We accept casual and formal men's and women's clothing in all sizes. We have a maternity section for women as well as a plus size section.  We also accept fine and costume jewelry, purses, wallets, shoes and furs.
We ask that clothing items come in freshly laundered or dry cleaned and accessories must also be in clean, ready to sell condition. We do not take bridal gowns or infant clothing.

Tips for a successful consigning experience:

We can look through your items faster if they are on hangers that you don’t need back. We almost always have a bag of free hangers by our door. Pants are easiest to look through if they are on clip hangers otherwise you can just bring them in folded in a bag.

Look through your items before you bring them in. The point of the 30 item limit is so that you bring 30 items that you think are outstanding! We now have over 1400 consignors, so think of all the things that come in in a single day and decide whether what you have is exceptional!

Please don’t bring your shoes in shoe boxes unless they are designer shoes that might be sold best in our eBay store.

Designer items (i.e. purses) must be authentic. It is illegal to sell knock-off designer purses regardless of whether we know it is a knock-off or not, so please be 100% sure that the item you are bringing in is authentic.

Items that are wrinkle and lint free sell the best. We don’t do any prep work so please have your items in this condition when you bring them in.

Remember that we only keep things in the store for two months. Think about what months your items will be in the store. If it is something that would be best sold around Christmas time or New Years you’ll want to bring it in early November, fur coats do well during this time too, bring prom dresses in April, etc.

Have a price in mind for fine jewelry and fur coats. If there is a minimum price that you would like to receive for the item, please let us know when you bring it in.

If you are uneasy about bringing stuff in just stop in to look around. You can get an idea of what kind of merchandise we carry and our prices if you come in to look around before you consign for the first time. Just keep in mind that most of our high-end items won’t be on the floor as we sell these online. If you have any questions just ask!
